Texas is a huge state filled with family fun attractions. As the fall approaches and the foliage changes, attraction-goers turn their attention to seasonal activities and no activity is more seasonal when fall arrives than corn mazes and pumpkin patches. Offering more than just a corn maze, many of these farms have hayrides, pumpkin patches and petting zoos. Check out one of Texas’s many pumpkin patches this fall and ring in the autumn season with a mug of apple cider and a handpicked Halloween pumpkin!
Amazingly Fun Farm, LLC
Located in Amarillo, Texas the Amazingly Fun Farm is Amarillo’s premier corn maze and pumpkin patch. Hours of operation are Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 6 p.m.. Attractions include 8-acre cornfield maze, pumpkin patch, campfire rings, farm animals, cow train, rubber duck races, a corn cannon, pumpkin launcher and hayride. Admission to the corn maze is $8.00, children 2 years old and under are free. Group and field trip rates are available.
At'l Do Farms
At’l Do Farms (“That’ll do!) is located in Lubbock, Texas and is owned and operated by Patti and James Simpson. The At’l Do Farm’s corn maze opens the second week of September and closes the last week in November each year, but patrons should check the website for dates of operation. Hours of operation are Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 9 p.m.. Attractions include a corn maze, hayrides, cow train, corn cannon and campfire. General admission is $7.00, children 2 and under are free. Group and field trip rates are available.
Fiddlesticks Farm
The Fiddlesticks Farm in Midland, Texas is a MAiZE-affiliated corn maze and pumpkin patch owned and operated by Matt and Jessica Norton located in North West Central Texas. Fiddlesticks farms opens in late September every year. Attractions include a pumpkin patch, corn maze, general store, hayride, hay jump, cow train, corn cannon, campfire, tube slide and gemstone mining. General Admissions is $10 for adults (12-64 years old), $8 for Military personnel, seniors (65+ years old) and children (4-11 years old), children 3 and under are free. Group and field trip rates are available.
Kaska Family Farms
The Kaska Family Farms is located in McLennan County in the heart of Texas. Owned and operated by the Kaska family, the Kaska Family Farm is a MaiZE-affiliated farm that opens for visitors every fall (check the website for dates). Attractions include a corn maze, hayride, pumpkin patch, corn cannon, cow train, rubber duck race, hay jump, and corn box. The gem of the Kaska Family Farm experience is the Redneck Revenge Haunted Trail open Saturday night’s after day up to October 31st. Kaska Family Farm is open Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.. General admission is $7 for farm-goers age 4 and older.
Dewberry Farms
Located in Brookshire, near Huston, Texas the Dewberry Farm is a MaiZE-affiliated farm founded by Dan Bradshaw and Larry Emerson. This farm opens for visitors in late September and runs through early November each year. Farm attractions include a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayride, goat feeding, corn cannon, pony rides, gemstone mining, flower bouquet picking, black hole and pumpkin blaster. General admission is $11 ages 3 to 54 years old, $9 for military personnel, $8 for seniors age 55+, and children ages 2 and under are free.
Rocky Creek Maze
The Rocky Creek Maze is located in southern Central Texas and is owned and operated by Chaloupka Farm. This maze opens the first of October to the end of November each year and attractions include a corn maze, hayride, barrel train, corn cannon, wildflower patch, froghopper, and a haunted maze. The Rocky Creek Maze is open Fridays and Saturdays and General admission is $9 adults 12 and older and $7 for children under 7 and seniors over 65, children under 3 years old are free. Field trip and group rates are available.
South Texas Maze
The South Texas Maze at Hondo, Texas is a MAiZE-affiliated farm located in southern Central Texas. Owned and operated by the Graff Family, the South Texas Maze is open yearly between the end of September and the end of November. Attractions include the corn maze, a pumpkin patch, hayride, corn cannon, rubber ducks, barrel train, tube slides, and a goat walk. Hours of operation are Friday 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.. General admission is $9.50+tax for adults over 12 years old and $7.50+tax for children 4-11 years old and seniors over 65, children under 3 years old are free.
